Start Making Better Decisions

One thing that I’ve had a problem with in the past is saying NO to people…and even worse, saying NO to myself.

You see, in life we make decisions on a daily basis. Where these decisions lead us can be a better place or a worse place.

It’s terrible when we make decisions knowing that it’s not the right choice to make. We know it’s going to hurt us more than benefit us and yet we still make these bad decisions.

I bet we all know someone who should stop eating fried foods but they do it anyway! Or what about the person that complains about not having enough money but they eat out everyday instead of saving money?

People knowingly make bad decisions like these everyday. But the great news is that no matter how many bad decisions we’ve made, we still can make that one solid decision that will forever change our lives.

Realizing that we are fully responsible for our lives helps us make good decisions. It takes self-control and determination to follow through and be consistent.

The most important step in making good decisions is to have clear goals. Without clear goals, we don’t see how our decisions effect our lives. When we set goals though, then we notice which actions leads us closer to our goals. That’s when we start making better decisions.

There’s no secret formula to it. It’s just having a clear purpose, deciding to take the proper action toward that purpose, and being consistent until we get there.

Making better decisions puts us in control of our life….so let’s all put our foot down and start saying NO to ourselves when we need to!
